Ady_G 0 Posted March 21, 2004 The rear suspension went really sloppy on my C and I assumed it was rear bushes from the way it was wobbling over bumps. It got really bad, and there was a knocking noise as well from the rear, which I thought was the exhaust. Anyway, put it into Lion garage in Leicester only to find someone in the past had replaced one of the rear shocks with a Monroe oil filled one which had exploding spilling oil everywhere. So, I had both the rear shocks, oil filled and original gas on the other side replaced with 2 new red standard shocks and the car handles spot on now. The knocking noise has gone as well, so in the last 18 months of owning the car I have been driving round with the wrong shock! Cheers Ady
dr_mat 0 Posted March 21, 2004 You wouldn't be the only one... By the way - the gas shocks contain oil too, so they can still leak in the same way..
