krishen 2 Posted January 29, 2012 Thought id post this as nearly all the central locking issue threads out there don't give this as a solution and it may help others. Since i bought the car only the passenger side locked and unlocked both doors, boot and petrol cap. Recently the passenger side one started to play up (left me in a spot of bother at the petrol station as the petrol cap was locked due to central locking not working. Was led to believe that it was the chip in the door handle so got myself a second hand one, swopped it over and nothing. So unwrapped the tape covering the wiring loom for the central locking in the door and found that the there was a break in the wires. http://s85.photobucket.com/albums/k59/krish0121/?action=view¤t=IMG_1005.jpg http://s85.photobucket.com/albums/k59/krish0121/?action=view¤t=IMG_1003.jpg http://s85.photobucket.com/albums/k59/krish0121/?action=view¤t=IMG_0997.jpg http://s85.photobucket.com/albums/k59/krish0121/?action=view¤t=IMG_0996.jpg Simply spliced the 3 wires back together tested the central locking and it worked. Had a look at the drivers side and it was the same issue. I now have central locking that works on and from both sides. One very happy owner.
