dalhalvaig 0 Posted February 13, 2012 Yesterday a friend's S-Max dribbled its oil on the road until she got home after a short journey, where it dumped the rest on the block paved drive. After an inspection in the dark, couldn't figure out the problem, but since it would need a tow to the garage called the AA. They came this morning and concluded oil filter had loosened. Car was serviced last September, so cause not clear, but worth checking on your car, as cheaper than the consequences. Any ideas on how to get oil out of a driveway? VW_OwneR_85 2 Posted February 13, 2012 last time i spilt abit of oil i used brake cleaner and a brush, but i think your best bet would be to go and buy a 5 litre tin of degreaser something like this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/5-L-LITRE-PARTS-WASH-SOLVENT-DEGREASER-WASHER-FLUID-/350336948685?pt=UK_Car_Accessories_Car_Care_Cleaning&hash=item5191b599cd or jizer http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Swarfega-Jizer-5-Litre-Degreaser-/190629372015?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item2c6265606f and a stiff brush! with plenty of paper towels or raggs! good luck its a b1tch!
