Westginge 10 Posted February 17, 2012 Hi, on going saga with my VR6 track project - and i need some help please. Ive got the car back from the gge today after a new radiator was fitted - i got it home, pulled the bonnet cable to check the rad etc out and the cable snapped in my hand. Ive pulled the sheafing out as it was hollow and its left a thin piece of metal cable, i pull this with plyers and the bonnet still wont open, ive taken the grill off to have a look ( in a red mist im afraid and now broke all 3 clips on the top :-( ) - does any know how i can get the bonnet open? Thanks

Jim Bowen 1 Posted February 17, 2012 do a search for a post by me, you can manually pull the metal holes that the cable passes through, its a bit of a fiddle but i managed it with grill in place. I used the metal rod that links the door handle to the latch, (inside the door, i had a spare one lying around)
MurphG60 0 Posted February 19, 2012 There not easy because there are two locks, one on each side depending on where it's snapped you might be able to open it by taking the grill out?
