Crispy Squirrel 0 Posted February 19, 2012 So I need a new front left indicator cover (next to fogs) and a new straight bar that sits directly under the lights and grill. Any idea on the best way to get a new correct coloured bar ? Cover ? Dealers ? suppliers etc ? will a garage do it ? Luckily he's paying.
Portent 0 Posted February 19, 2012 Isn't the "bar" actually part of the slam panel? Mine has an annoying small dent in it which came with the car, I guess it was a similar accident in the past.
Storm Guy 0 Posted February 19, 2012 Yep - take out a headlight and youll soon see the extent of the 'bar'. Any pics as to how dented it actually is? Good job he's paying.
Crispy Squirrel 0 Posted February 20, 2012 so the 'bar' doesn't just run under the light it runs to the back of the car ? EEK . Ok so how about taking it out hammering it flat again respray ? Its gunna look poo- but I don't want him to pay loads... How much would a new 'Bar' Cost ?
vw_john 10 Posted February 20, 2012 The bar, is part of the slam panel, as you can see, http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-CORRADO-LATE-TYPE-DRAGON-GREEN-FRONT-PANEL-SLAM-PANEL-/260940530393?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3cc14482d9#ht_880wt_952 not going to be a quick job getting it out

Stonejag 10 Posted February 22, 2012 Great, there's another thing to replace in the respray. Mine has a big kink in the driver's side 'strut' (between headlight and grille), it's so close to 90 degrees I thought it came like that! :bonk:
