Jubilee Clip for the rattily cat heat sheild

Sorry, if this has done the rounds before but I can't manage to find a rough size of jubilee clip to get to tighten up the heat shield that goes around the cat.

 

Anyone any ideas?

I used some of that thick flexi-wire from an old exhaust bandage kit - couldn't find a Jub. clip big enough, and the two biggest ones I had joined together were too big!

Has anyone any idea the diameter needed as I was gonna be lazy and ask the garage to put it on so I wanted to give them something that's the right size.

I'll measure them tonight (one on the downpipe, one on the cat) as both the original cat and downpipe are sat on my garage floor! ;) :D

Here's your sizes... :D

 

The Jubilee to go around the Downpipe shields should be a fully threaded Size 6 (110 to 140mm)

The cat is 170mm in diameter and has a circumference of 440mmm so you'd need one that'll go around that + a bit to make life easier when fitting it.. ;) Again, try and find a fully threaded clip so that you are sure it'll go small enough to clamp the rattly bit tightly.... 8)

Nearly... I couldn't find any string - so I folded up 2 pieces of A4 and selotaped them together to make a tape-measure! :lol:
