You need two driver's side arms - the part numbers keep changing (not sure you can buy them singly any more since VW cottoned on!) but I think 6X2955410C is correct. You'll probably need to bend whichever one you fit to the passenger side in a little after the first few months as it will stop wiping the central section of the blade - just give it a bit of help to press the blade into the screen a little harder. Note it will clip the rubber trim on the edge of your scuttle cover at the very beginning of each upstroke (slack in the wiper motor linkage makes it swing down 10mm or so before heading up) but you'll get used to the noise pretty quickly!

Blades should be 6X2955426 (driver's side, fit to Corrado passenger side) and 1J1955426A (passenger side, fit to Corrado driver's side), or you can use one of the Bosch packs - pretty sure you need 928S off the top of my head but do check! About £15-20 from GSF last time I got a set. Or you could read this:[link] (bit out of date since it was before people started fitting them to everything) or use the search function ;)

You can't grind it off - the problem is that the spline is fairly coarse and you only really have two possible positions that you can put the wiper. One nudges the rain tray on the backswing and the other sits way too high! If you nipped off the edge of the blade so it didn't touch, then it wouldn't wipe the top of the screen properly. I'll take some pics tomorrow and you'll see what I mean :)

Right, I took you a couple of pics so it's a bit more obvious!

This is the resting position of the wipers. Whether I give them a little while or just a single wipe, they always stop here.

But! When they start each wipe, they wipe downwards a tiny bit first. When they do this the outer edge of the nearside wiper clips the rain tray. The car's quite dusty so you can see the clean spot beyond the 'parked' position in the first pic.

If you try to fit it one spline further up, it interferes with the driver's side wiper so you have to move both. Then they sit really high up and look crap! It's not a big deal, just something you should be aware of. It might be possible to adjust my wiper linkage slightly but it doesn't bother me that much :)
