VWVW 1 Posted March 6, 2012 Got a nice suprise today...I got a cheque from my classic car insurance company for £115 pounds. This was because they say I only did 1000 miles last year on my 8000 miles limit policy. Didnt know they give money back.

Abdul 0 Posted March 7, 2012 Bloody hell, never heard of that! Insurance normally rip you for every penny.
VWVW 1 Posted March 7, 2012 I even read the letter twice thinking I must have read it wrong :) It was with Lynbrook insurance under equity red star. The cover even include free breakdown cover. So Iam now only paying £150 for a years cover. With this classic car cover you CANT use the car to travel to and from work.
boost monkey 0 Posted March 8, 2012 Yeah, FJ gave me a rebate recently too - £220. It was cheaper to take out a new policy with them to add the missus onto the Golf than it was to add her on an existing policy (go figure) and because I was on limited mileage and hadn't exceeded my limit by then they gave me about 30% of the premium back! They didn't want any confirmation at all, just told them on the phone that I hadn't gone past it. It nicely paid for the deposit on the new policy. Edit: FJ are quite happy to let you use the car for commuting also, I do 1000+ miles a month at the moment.
