vag 5000 alarm disable

hi,

i have just got a 94 vr6 to restore and need a bit of help,

it has a dodggy vag 5000 (scorpian) alarm,is it poss to disable the alarm with out removal?

it seems to be stopping the fuel pump working poss part of the immobliser.

any help would be great,

If it's like my Scorpion (branded as a Quantum) then yes it is. There is a keylock on the unit itself so you can just switch the alarm off, as long as you have the key, which is a small one like the sort they use on steering wheel locks, if that makes any sense.

yeh tried that it only turns the siren off on mine,
