Roger Blassberg 0 Posted April 17, 2012 The flexible fuel lines on my VR6, leading up to the fuel rail on the inlet manifold, are perished and dangerous looking, especially at the fuel rail connections. I have ordered new ones, and would be grateful for any tips on fitting them. How far down is the connection to the steel pipes? Are there any pitfalls in fitting them, apart from the obvious fact that there is bound to be a spillage of some fuel ? Best wishes RB
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted April 17, 2012 On the fuel rail there's little allen head bolt, unscrew that first to relieve the rail of stored fuel pressure. Then just remove the old hoses and fit the new ones. Where they join the plastic lines that come through the chassis rail can be a bit tricky to get at and they will be tight. That's about it really. A pretty simple process to be honest.
