VR6 Lee 0 Posted May 14, 2012 Made a bit of a mess up with my alternator as wanted to remove the screw and it sheered off taking half of the thread with it. lewvw 10 Posted May 15, 2012 Lee i've only worked at main dealers and have seen this before but we would only replace the alternator, in 10 years i've never seen an alternator taken apart.
