Derbyshire Paul 10 Posted May 26, 2012 Hi All, I've recently bought a 1990 1.8 16v which has been SORN for the last 12 months. It was stored indoors so there shouldn't being any bird poo issues etc but what's the advice on any precautions that should be taken? It's having a new MOT & the Cambelt changing as although it was done 2000 miles ago it was back in 2009 so not taking any chances there. Is it worth doing a full fluids change oil, brake fluid etc? Any advice would be great.
seanl82 23 Posted May 26, 2012 Would be very beneficial doing all fluids and oil and filters should be done as a bare minimum tbh. Dependant on how much fuel was in the tank over that period, change the fuel filter too and brim the tank. A year isn't overly long tbh so you shouldn't have any major problems. :thumbleft:
