col41139 10 Posted May 28, 2012 I have two issues I like to share and see if anyone out there has had the same problem. The fan stays on after I turn off the car and is draining the battery. seanl82 23 Posted May 28, 2012 First off, which car? My 1.8 16v fan after run switch is a spare off my old golf as the pin snapped on the original. The C switch is a 100 degree switch, whereas the golf is 90 degrees so runs on for longer to cool it down. If yours is a 16v check the pin hasnt broken and earthing out on the head which causes it to run on. with the windows, first off try disconnecting the switches and go from there.
