ausgolfer 0 Posted June 15, 2012 Hello all. Windscreen needs replacing in my rado. But for parts from Germany to Australia it's a 3 week wait. And expensive! Anyway the question is will any of the border seals need replacing at the same time? I'm told there are 4 and this car has a pretty bad air leak coming from the passenger side. Do these seals regularly need replacing when replacing the windscreen or can they be reused? The only one that is visible is the top one which looks fine. James. 9 Posted June 15, 2012 You've got a finishing bead that pulls out and can be re-used. The others are fitted around the screen and bonded in with it. So who knows ? You may be lucky if you're patient and carefull at removing them to be able to re-use them. I wouldn't hold my breath though. Depends how good you're windscreen removal technique is. Best of luck.
