Jim Bowen 1 Posted July 27, 2012 Just went to a powder coaters in maldon and dropped some bits off, the chap recommended plascoat and from the tests he showed me it looks very tough. Anyone used plascoat before. Sent from my X10i using Tapatalk
Critical_Mass 10 Posted July 27, 2012 (edited) what application can this be used on jim. Is it suitable for wheels? Edited July 27, 2012 by Critical_Mass
seanl82 23 Posted July 27, 2012 I've heard of people using it wheels actually. Its more robust in the whole than powdercoating, but shows scratches much more iirc. Depends where your using it I suppose, but I'd ensure the bits being done are 100% clean of any rust, as it doesn't adhere to the actual surface so much as mould around it, therefore giving breathing space for rust to oxidise and spread underneath. Powder coating tenders to chip so i personally think plascoating will be better.
