skid 1 Posted July 31, 2012 Managed to get the Air con re gassed at a local Kwik fit and they say it works fine. But unfortunately their printer was not working to give me report on its findings. As i have never had or even used this system before could some one tell me how this system should work/ be controlled. I take it it will only work when the fan is on What should happen when i press the Norm button what should happen when i press the max button What temp differences should pressing these buttons make. fla 9 Posted July 31, 2012 norm is the inlet flap half closed (under the scuttle cover mesh) so it allows some inlet of fresh air. Max is the flap fully closed so you are only recirculating cabin air, hence keep the car cooler. The downside with max is that it is always 'old' air that is going around. you're correct - it only worsk when the fan is on.
