I'm introduction will be about my corrado life!

Back in 2003 I saw this picture

I want a corrado!

So after a lot of dreaming some chav rote off my car at the time

Gave me the opportunity to purchase a corrado but was On a very tight budget.

EBAY! £300

Was a non runner as the guy said the head was fooked! Towed it back w a 1.2 corsa! (wasn't much fun) as we checked the engine the core plugs had popped out and as we had a very bad winter put it down to just water in the coolant system. Pop in some new core plugs and she fired! With out missing a beat.

All Break discs, pads and pips needed changing. bearings all round new bushes, bottom arms and joints more coil overs.

A few things needed for the MOT and BOOM I was on the road with my new pride and joy!.................

A few months later diving Down the motorway I saw I big smoke could behind me. Then saw the dash light flashing. POO!

New head gasket done! And off we go again. Heart matrix was blocked. Changed that. The alloys had to go.

Yerrrrrrrrrrrrr SPACERS! Got the wrong size!!!!!

Dropped the coil overs as much as poss.

a grin from ear to ear!.........................

The water light came on again! ****! A friend came with the T bar. The damn car was to low to get it under the front! Ages later another head gasket and radiator later I was back on the road! Sweet!

So after a while i thought I would get the thing running on bike carbs!

(just for illustration purposes) I pulled them apart cut up a inlet manifold Nd hey presto............... Lifted the bonnet........ What the hell. 1.8 16v KR engine! How will I......... DOH!!!!

SOLD!

Then after a few months the water light came on again. THAT'S IT! NEW ENGINE! that day going to work I left a mile long blue and white smoke haze behind me.

To the farm it went! My plans of a 16vg60 started!

That bit went quite easy

2 years later

Got to get this finished!

If you can tell the alternator is at the back of the engine! Yer that didn't fit so changed to the front!

After a lot of messing with working and fuel issues it ran!

One happy bunny!

Th k you for the welcome.

It was a 1.8 16v. I fear the quality of my car is not up to scratch from the rest on here. So once it's MOT'd etc I will be concentrating on tiding it up, like Wiring and fancy polishing the alloys. Not to sure haw to start that tho.
