Items that are good to keep for spares

Recommended Posts

We are trying to reduce the amount of spares that are kept in and around the house,so considering the corrado being the most expensive

Which are the most common and expensive parts do the members recommend to keep or aquire. There is still a good bit of room for storage.

l look forward to your suggestions

Many thanks in advance, Anne

Tough question.. Basically I'd want to keep spares of anything discontinued or perishable in good condition. Seals, roof strips, plastics, lights etc.

Engines are easy enough to find, subframes same as other models etc so not worth keeping but even bumpers/wings/bonnet could be.

I have front and rear lights,ICV,some switches and a Eibach stut brace, which i dont think will be getting fit

It is a 1990 1.8kr,so i,m thinking most engine parts of a 16v golf are interchangeable is this right:cheers:

Ignition switch if yours hasn't already been done, window control module, thermostat and seal (I know they are readily availabe but always nice to know you have one!) fuel pump and ecu relay, and whats already been suggested that you dont already have. That should set u up for most eventualities that could keep your car off the road for the short term.
