peachers 10 Posted September 22, 2012 Help! My VR6 has just started misfiring and was wondering how best to work out what the fault is? The problem seems to be worse when initially starting the car where it will almost stall and then seems to run fine once it is going. I did replace the MAF last year so am hoping it is not that but was wondering if it could be the coilpack instead? alimac81 10 Posted September 23, 2012 Check your coolant hoses, mainly the ones that connect to the rear of your cylinder head, i had one go on me last year and it sprayed water into the spark plug holes and caused a misfire, happened to a mates golf vr as well.
