Swapping inlet manifold, problem!!

Hi all, just currently swapping my crusty old inlet manifold on the Vr to a new polished shiny one of the 2.7 vr6, got the old one off no problem, but after comparing them side by side there not exactly the same. The problem is the 2.8 inlet doesn't have an inlet for a pipe just after the throttle body, where as the 2.9 one does. The pipe that fits into this inlet comes from Part of the isv valve. Can somebody please tell me what I do to this now redundant pipe? Is it just a case if blanking the pipe off now?? Please help. The car is a 95 vr6

You probably got an obd2 inlet manifold.... If you look closer your trothle body wont fit also.

You will need to make a hole in the inlet for the isv and an adaptor plate i think for the throttle body

Oh great!! I was told when I bought it that it was a straight swap!! Any ideas where I can get this adaptor plate from? Thanks

Sorry cant help with that. But to be honest i think youre better off refurbing your inlet. Unless you want to go for the whole ob2 setup
