timthetinyhorse 0 Posted October 4, 2012 Am i correct in thinking that there are two different rocker cover gaskets for the VR6, on the suits cars up to 1995 and another for just 1995 year? I thought that there was just 1 type but after posting on ED38 to find out where the oil was coming from i was told there was two different types....... I think i need partnumber; 021103483D (thats what shows on vagcat) My VR is a 93 and has a slight weep on the rocker cover that i need to sort over winter along with all the usual bits and bobs so im just starting to source parts now. Madwabbit 10 Posted October 4, 2012 (edited) Yes. 2 different ones. I believe early 95 was obd1 and late 95 was obd2. Which "rocker" cover do you have?? That will provide the answer. Obd1 is a regular rubber flat style gasket for the aluminum valve cover. Obd2 is a rubber gasket that is integrated into the plastic valve cover. Hopefully my information is correct.
