Mal77 0 Posted April 18, 2004 Is it poss, or has it been done to put in a Audi TT engine into a Rado 16 Valve motor, original 2000 cc on a 93 L? Have heard just need a new ECU and uprated brakes, but other than that its a straight swap, wots the verdict guys?
chrishill 0 Posted April 18, 2004 isnt that the 20v turbo conversion? or is it the 1.8T? either way its been done! do a search for either of those two engine types and you're sure to find something....
dubbprince 0 Posted April 19, 2004 does it drop on the same mounts as the 2ltr 16v or 1.8 16v would have?? so its basically everything inc driveshafts then...which would mean calipers and discs and hubs too..that means uprating rears as they'd nwo be 5 stud right? Isn't that now audi fitment 4x108...so different wheels. ECU- i've heard you can use the same stock one...takes a lot to play about with but can be done. Exhaust- need to have one made to fit i guess?? powerflow? What about engine subframe? doesn't the corrado one have the engine mount on it...again is it in the right place? What about a larger intercooler? piping/hoses...induction kit...
