Gear knob top sticker/badge

Anyone got the sticker / badge thing that sits on top of the gear knob , showing the gear numbers?

 

Mine was missing when I bought my car.

VW may still do this as a seperate part and if so it's peanuts... could also try a mk4 Golf one maybe?

its a fully black one. I have one in the house somewhere with the black/silver badge but my misses has hidden it whilst tidying!!

i have one of these, well i will have if it detaches from the gear knob ok? i have to replace mine! i will remove the knob and see if it detaches ok later, then will let you know.

cheers Buddy, it looks like it just glues in place, i cant see any fixings of any kind.

i have said gear shift pattern badge removed now! only thing is some of the blacking has come away with the glue, the silver gear pattern is intact so i would think you should be able paint the back black again or remove the rest of the black and paint any colour you like? if you would like this let me know.
