mark28G60 0 Posted April 22, 2004 Hi all I need some help on a gearbox and clutch problem and could do with the following questions answered please, THE CAR IS A G60 1992 J plate 1. Where do you drain the oil down from? 2. What oil is best and its needs to be availble for me to pick up locally (essex) not something i have to send off for? 3. Is it true that its full when the oil dripples from the hex head bolt on the side of the box? The reason i ask these questions is that whilst ticking over the car sounds different and ive opened the little inspection hatch above the clutch/gearbox and it looks dead dry inside and sounds like its starting to grind. Any help from some fellow corrado nutters is grateful. Thx Mark
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted April 22, 2004 1. From the diff housing, big old 13mm hex plug. 2. Redline MT90 mailorder, or Quantum 75/90 synthetic from the dealers 3. Yes. 1.5 Litres to do a drain and refill. Do you get a rattling noise at idle and when hot, that goes away when you press the clutch down? Common. Nothing to worry about.
