Wesleyvr6 10 Posted January 19, 2013 Hi all, I purchased a new genuine wing last week for my Vr6, is it pretty straight forward to remove the old wing? Or are they sealed on pretty well?
joeypineapplez 0 Posted January 19, 2013 They are sealed along the side that runs down by the door. The rest of it is held on with bolts. The sealant can be a pain to cut through. It's awkward and hard to find the correct "line to cut". However if your dumping the wing you are removing then you don't have to be too careful and can cut/pull the sealant as you go along. It will become obvious when you tackle it. I did both mine and didn't find it too hard. Just be patient and make sure you have removed all the bolts first as there are 1 or 2 hidden ones. Jim Bowen 1 Posted January 19, 2013 Took me ages to get one side off. Mainly cutting the sealant and finding the right seam where wing joins. As soon as id done one, the other side was easy.

Wullie 1 Posted January 20, 2013 I just sat patiently on the drive with a long bladed stanely knife type thing, a glass of red wine and Springstein on the CD player. Takes a while but I enjoyed it????
