DO YOU KNOW WHAT THIS IS?? I could do with a new one

Recommended Posts

Just discovered this part has a huge crack in it, but no idea what it is...

Does anyone have a spare working one to replace it?

Cheers

It's a non return valve or whatever it's proper name is (someone will remember). Ford Galaxy's use the same engine and the part can be bought from them a lot cheaper.

It's a PCV or 'valve-crankvent' if you go to Ford. Part number from Ford is 7364573 and about £60 cheaper from them too

Have fun

Or just ditch it and replace it with a straight pipe from inlet elbow to the top of the valve cover. The cross-shaped vacuum pipe is replaced with a straight bit of hose from the side of the throttle body to the carbon canister valve - normally blue, located on offside suspension tower behind the inlet elbow. Cost:

If you do this, you'll need to check on / clean out any accumulated oil sludge every year or so.

I happen to have one lieing around at home in good nick that I was going to use to replace my wrecked one aswell.

But as I'm super charging I will probably be using a catch tank.

I'm sure if you twist my arm and bitter me up with a little bit of cash I could send you it :).

Hi Sharpy

Cool, how much do you want for it? (I'll pass on the butter, thanks )
