Yega 10 Posted February 5, 2013 Hi all, I'm being very optimistic here and registering ahead of actually getting a Carrado, with the hope that I will be able to find one I want soon! My name is Damian and I'm from High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire. I drive a Mk5 Golf 1.9TDi with various mods that I have put in over the last 5 years. I belong to a local VW called called OCD (Outcast Dubs) and after seeing all these older cars over and over again I've decided that I too want to own a bit of VW history. Since I was a child I've loved VW's and there was a Corrado parked outside our flats which I walked past every day on my way to school. So naturally, when I decided to get something older Corrado was an obvious choice! I am on the lookout for a G60, possible a VR6, but from reading various posts of pros and cons between the two I think the G60 is more my cup of tea. I'll most likely be bothering some of you with various silly questions that I have so I apologize for that straight off. Seems to be a real deluge of newbies at the moment.. hoping this surge in interest will start to do something to improve their prices a bit as they're in the doldrums right now - certainly the right time to be buying one :) Having owned a few over the years the G60 certainly has it's charms and is a really nice piece of motoring history given that VW only really used that engine for a few years. I've been driving a diesel for most of my driving life, had a go in a VR6 few times and driven a number of standard petrol cars, but never a supercharged car - it's something I'd love to experience. Do you know of any G60 members that are near to Bucks? Would love to actually see and hear one in person. How much should I be prepared to spend on one?
