Simon 0 Posted May 5, 2004 If I leave it on, it just seems to work sometimes, then it will stop. Or sometimes it won't be working and then it will start. Anyone got any ideas?
Henny 0 Posted May 5, 2004 yup, the bearings and bushes in it are probably dead... time for a new fan... :?
Supercharged 2 Posted May 5, 2004 New Valeo (OE) ones are about £50 from GSF, just unclip the rheostat and swap it over
dr_mat 0 Posted May 5, 2004 Is it noisy? If it's running at the proper speed, and it's not noisy (when it's on) then it's likely the fan is fine and the problem is an intermittent contact somewhere else. Apparently the contacts on the dial control can wear to the point they won't work well...
JohnJ 0 Posted May 5, 2004 ...and my 2p worth... Try pushing the fan switch inwards...if this makes the fan work then it is probably the switch contacts which are worn. HTH
