diarmaid16 1 Posted May 7, 2013 Hello all, I recently purchased a 2.0 16v as a long, long term project. I have been thinking about an engine rebuild and was wondering if anyone on here has done it and if they had a list of the parts required for it e.g. bearings, gaskets, seals, just so I could start to build up a stash? I was also looking at the tuning guide on here. Are kr cams just a straight swap for the originals and how is polishing / gasflowing of the throttle body carried out? corradophil 3 Posted May 7, 2013 A head gasket set for the top end, and possibly valve guides, head skim. Bottom end depends on bore wear, condition of crank etc. I re-built mine and went for +0.5mm re-bore, new pistons, new bearing shells, decked block etc. I have a pair of kr cams which i'd consider selling.
