buzzing/beetle noise from O2A when clutch is released

Recommended Posts

Hey Guys,

The O2A is making a weird beetle/buzzing noise that seems to go up and down with engine speed, when the clutch is released (ie pedal up).

Happens in all gears and in neutral, though it is difficult to hear in 5th due to the speed.

Any ideas what it might be? Cheers.

Yes I guess it could be described as a chirping tweeting noise. Its not causing any problems, would it be serous at this stage?

Nope no problem, what usually happens is when the clutch is replaced the thrust bearing gets replaced too but they have to be lubed up a lot before being put in. Which doesnt happen and then people are left with that noise
