Tattie 0 Posted May 11, 2004 Just added to the sticky that VAG have stopped selling blades and arms seperately. Also GSF sell replacement aero blade kits (driver and passenger together) for £20. They are listed for the new polo.
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted May 11, 2004 Thanks for the update. That's ridiculous. I can't see owners of Lupos and Polos being chuffed about having to buy new arms every 3-6 months. I've looked at my Mum's Polo by the way and the aero blades on their are way too big for Corrados. It's Lupo or nothing for us unfortunately. K
Tattie 0 Posted May 11, 2004 I checked with VAG while I was there as to the sizes of blades for a Lupo and they said one is 19" and the other is 21". Is this true? If it is then the Polo ones will fit. If not then Bosch obviously do the aero blade style, we just have to find out which car/size is correct.
Henny 0 Posted May 11, 2004 it's also REALLY important where the hanger is on the blade (that's the wrong word, but it describes the bit I want and I'm too sleep deprived at the moment to think of the correct work! ) The length's is important as well, but if that hanger isn't in the right place, the blades will hit the windscreen surround, or the other blade... :? Lupo GTI ones are both 19". 21" will hang off the screen on the passenger side and catch on the A pillar if fitted on the driver's side. I tried it with my Mum's polo. She's got a 2004 1400. Best to stick to the driver's + passenger 19" ones. The centre hinges vary and that's the crucial bit. K

Kevin Bacon 5 Posted May 11, 2004 LOL, no worries mate! I've looked at the old aero blades and they appear to be rebuildable if you get the end caps off without wrecking them, so in theory you should be able slot any old 19" refill in them. K
