steering wheel removal

Recommended Posts

Ive unclipped the horn button and disconnected and removed the contact plate but there is a plastic cover the same size as the contact plate underneath, there are no bolts or screws, can I just pull this off or am I gonna bust it.

This may sound a stupid question but how can I guarantee that a new wheel will have the same fitting?

if it's a standard steering wheel, yes that bit just pulls off too to reveal the BIG nut which holds the wheel onto the column... 8)

Al, it should come off as one unit to reveal the bolt underneath, they sometimes seperate tho... when this happened to me i put the cover back on and tried again.
