Carbon canister relocation?

Recommended Posts

Hi folks,

I need to relocate the carbon canister to make room for my supercharger pipe work. Wondering where others have put this?

I'm not going to have much room in the drivers side front corner under the arch as I need o place the MAF there.

Does anyone know if it has to be upright? Can I lay it on its side?

Cheers

Thanks for the responses guys, I found a spot that involved relocating to the other side of the bay but not sure if passing lines carrying fuel vapour over the exhaust area was a good idea ;)

I suppose its just the same as relocating to the bulk head.

To delete it, I am guessing that I block off the nipple on the throttle body, leave the N80 valve plugged in (no pipes connected to it) to stop error codes. Then relocate the end of the fuel tank breather pipe to the driver side wheel arch (as it used to be on the MK2 golf)

Sound right?

Exactly what I've done with mine.
