What's this

Found it under the MAF sensor, looks like it should be connected to something on the right side and the other pipes look like screen wash.

Any ideas?

That's your evap solenoid. Recirculates the fumes from your fuel tank via the carbon canister and into your intake. The pipe normally connects to the side of the throttle body iirc.

It's just behind the drivers headlight mounted vertically. Could be hidden under your air filter. There's a hole in the inner wing floor where it sits.

Folks think it helps improve performance.

 

What it actually does it make your car more likely to stall at junctions etc at the VR ECU map is designed for the air bleed that this provides when signalled to dump the carbon can contents.

 

Not really an issue but make sure there is a bung in the air inlet side to prevent unfiltered air coming in.
