Bonnet Cable

Hi All

 

Getting there follow my recent bump in my 1994 VR6.

Unfortunately the body shop have had to cut my old bonnet cable to get under the bonnet.

So I now need one of those - does anyone have a decent one I can buy?

Can't help with a spare but I'm sure they're still available from vw, they're about £50 though.

Have heard people on here mention tandem bicycle brake cable as a suitable and cheap alternative.

Hi Paul,

 

I've saved all of the bonnet cables that were on cars that I've broken. They're all in good, usable condition and you can have one for £10 plus the postage if you want one.

Still available from vw under 40 quid I paid about a month ago. Still expensive though
