MORNING!!!! VDO Boost gauge, please read

so, ive just been paid (woohoooo) so its the monthly corrado spend, basically (no offence to anyone) but i think ALL of the boost gauges on the market look naff, just do not suit the corrado. One i have found is the 0-15 psi VDO gauge.

But, its in Australia, so before i spend £45 on postage, does anyone know of anyone closer to home that sells this? or similar VDO gauges? as all the vdo stuff im finding is in Australia.

Also worth mentioning i need one with measurements in PSI for accuracy when monitoring the charger (belt slip etc)

tread carefully with vdo's ive been through about 4 of em to get one i liked

 

firstly watch out as alot of them are electronic so you need a £60 sender to run it , and alot of them come bare so £12 add on for a bulb kit , another £15 for a hose and threaded ends , also make sure its not a fixed colour illumitaion

 

then next problem , i found one that i liked and it has some horrible plastic lense that never showed up in the photos , its like anti glare i assume but just looked greasy

 

in the end after much looking around i found a seller on ebay that does proper glass lenses and swapped it over , took the oppertunity to paint my needle while its apart

 

try ebay.de - search vdo ladedruckanzeige , at least theres no import tax from there

plus with mods you might touch just over 15psi

 

i went with a bar one , what with germans being all metric n such lol

Yes see my stage 2 charger runs at 9 psi and I don't think ill ever sit it over 15. So I want it nice and accurate. A bar one just could be accurate enough. Only reason in getting it is to monitor the charger in case of belt slip. Yours turbo or changed? On iPhone so can't see your signature.

mines a golf g60 , 68mm pulley and it hits around 15psi / 1 bar

 

got mine for the same reason so i can see if something is up ...belt slip you would see lots of blask dust around the pulley

ah! thats good to know man! dont think ill be going near the 15psi mark, when i first fitted it and it was running at 5 it was lively, now sat at 9 psi its just an animal haha, if i hit 15psi i would be somewhere in the high 300's and f*ck that for a laugh... (for now anyway )
