Dodgey steering Not centralising!!!!!

Recommended Posts

Ok,in the last few days iv noticed when going round some corners that when my steering is centralising itself again, the steering wheel doesnt centralise striaght,ie quarter of a turn out-then a few seconds later the steering wheel centralises properly. Please note that when the steering wheel is quarter of a turn out the car IS going in a straight line-once the steering wheel adujsts the car still goes in a straight line.

Then its drives normal for a while then on the odd corner itl happen again!

Iv checked the fluid and it was just below the min mark-its never been below it before AFAIK-topped it up and the problem continues to happen.

Any help here guys would be great as im getting concerned with the safety!

have you got an adjustable steering column? try changing the angle of the steering wheel if you have and see if that stops it from happening... :| If it does, then you will need to change one of the universal joints in the steering column to cure the problem properly... :?
