Quick query - grille and rear lights

Recommended Posts

On behalf of a mate...

Where can one get some tinted lights like the below: (or is this a DIY tint the top half of original lights jobbie..is there a thread on this anywhere or guide and what materials needed?)

Also, where can one get a multislat grille (one with most slats like on early g60s) with a BLACK vw badge on front of it not a chrome one. Or does this come with it?

Do the rear badges on corrado pull off or are they stuck on with pins through the body work?

Finally, will an early multi slat grille and early stlye recessed bonnet fit a later spec corrado - will it bolt straight on?

Black grill badges are available from GPC. I know they do the later grill but not sure about the early one. Cost just over £20 for the grill and around a fiver for the badge. If you have a late spec G60 or 16V corrado all the holes for the grill should be there. If it is a VR6 then not sure as it has a different slam panel anyway.

As for the bonnet if you've got a VR6 the old style bonnet will not fit. The VR6 engine was one of the reasons the bonnet shape was changed in the first place - it sits a lot higher.

I think the later 16v can have the earlier bonnet fitted but don't quote me on that.

Rear badges are just stuck on with double sided tape

Err which one then? Double sided tape or pins? All badges with pins? Only some? No this car is a late spec G60 with the vr (bulged) stlye bonnet (as standard) and wants to put an inner recess (Early) one on.

Thanks for the thread regarding the tail tint lights. Looks helpful. Will pass it on.

Thanks so far guys

The rear vw roundel is held in place by plastic pins for want of a better description! To remove it you need to open the boot and remove the cover over the boot locking mechanism etc... but if you can't be bothered you can simply use double sided tape!

So guys are the other two badges on the rear double sided tape or not? :-P cheers

Also, any ideas on the earlier bonnet and early grille fitting a later spec corrado g60?
