MZpog 10 Posted January 23, 2014 1st question.....in my 1992 corrado, do I need to just remove the grills to fit new speakers or do the door cards need taking off? 2nd question.....as I don't want to fill my boot with subs, I was wondering if anyone's had any experience of the underseat type subs. And if so where was in mounted (I'm hoping there's some room under the dash). thanks in advance of responses.
VR6 Gar 10 Posted January 23, 2014 Cards will have to come off. I find decent 6x9s run off an amp give more than enough bass, which keeps the boot space free. Never run the type of sub you mentioned but would imagine it would sound terrible if put behind the dash, would create a lot of rattles.
MurdoMac 0 Posted January 23, 2014 Q2. have a look here http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=80896&page=2 you can easy get a decent under seat sub however it's unlikely to actually go under the seat but they take up practically no room in the boot and sound just right :)
fonzooorooo 10 Posted January 26, 2014 you might wangle an underseat sub into the centre console. (just a thought - never tried it) I've got it in my head that a couple of people have fitted them in the hump of the rear seats (assuming you have one). Not over loud but sounds great with the hertz components. Thanks for the advice peeps.
