vr6paul 0 Posted February 27, 2014 Hey guys, my first parts question since returning! I need to get a new pass door and mirror for the corrado. Did the shape etc ever change during production or differ from model to model? Wondering if any door will do or if I need to be looking age/vr specific. Many thank Paul
dragon green 5 Posted February 27, 2014 The door exteriors are all the same, internally only differ on a small bracket(s) which are all interchangeable. I have an early and late fitted on my car ! Mirrors are all the same

davidwort 0 Posted February 28, 2014 being pedantic, some door mirrors have different sized connectors to the glass heating element, so the loom and glass varies slightly. the doors vary a bit more too, late doors have side impact bars which can't really be retrofitted to early doors. vr6paul 0 Posted March 9, 2014 I have the chance of panels from a G plate 16v car. Is there anything I couldn't use for my M plate vr? I know the bonnet is different but anything else?
davidwort 0 Posted March 9, 2014 Wings, slam panel and front and rear crossmembers, doors have no impact bars, but the tailgates are the same :)
vr6paul 0 Posted March 10, 2014 Thanks for the info again! Were the wing and door changes model or age related? Wondering if I should be looking for an old vr or a newer car (not vr). Cheers again !
davidwort 0 Posted March 10, 2014 All VR6 cars had the later wings and bonnet, they were bought in for summer 1992 to accommodate the wider track and higher engine in the VR6, but any other 4 cylinder car from 1992 will have the same panels as they all updated at that time, you might fine the odd J plate with late panels too.
