vcl 10 Posted March 2, 2014 I have just been changing the distributor cap on my 8v Corrado and am having a problem finding any means of locating the cap on the distributor body. vw rule 19 Posted March 2, 2014 Hello there, you should have a locator tab on the base of the distributor cap, this tab then fits into the recess or cut out on the top side of the distributor unit. Please see photo's below [ATTACH=CONFIG]77881[/ATTACH] Locating tab at the bottom of distributor cap = circled in black. [ATTACH=CONFIG]77882[/ATTACH] [ATTACH=CONFIG]77879[/ATTACH] Recess in the top side of the distributor = circled in black.
