CazzaVR 0 Posted April 20, 2003 Welcome to the forum! :) Check out the VR6 vs G60 thread in this section. Think you'd be quite lucky to find a good VR6 + leather for 5k :? Then again, prices are coming down.
Banana Man 0 Posted April 20, 2003 I think we established in the other thread about VR vs G60 is that there isn't much between them apart from the fact that you can pick up really good G60's for under £4.5k and spend the money save on some essential mods like supercharger rebuild, chip and pulley which will bring the power upto the same standard as the VR whereas the VR tends to be a little more expensive to buy and to mod it costs alot more. My advise is that you go for test drives in both to see which one you prefer and make a decision after that as andyg60 said I think you'll be hard pushed to find a good example of a vr with leather trim for under £5k. Oh and welcome to the forum by the way :D
Joe M 0 Posted April 20, 2003 If you take your time looking you will find a good vr6 under £5000. Mine has full grey leather on a 95 M reg. Only downside is the mileage has just passed 100k, although this can be a good thing as a lot of high mileage work can already be done, I have a receipt for a cylinder head rebuild and coil pack from 6 months ago and the car is mint. I paid £4700 start of the month so there are good ones out there.
G60Jet 1 Posted April 21, 2003 I'd go for a VR6 now as my next C only cos they are newer, however if the G60 was made in till the end of the production i'd have a G60 anyday over a VR6

vr6storm 0 Posted April 21, 2003 right having been "mugged" by pau1 in his old g-60 i would like to put my views on this VR6 pros- :D 190-ish bhp straight out the box nice engine note/induction roar smoother/refined drive....ideal autobahn crusier still has a bit of kudo's to those in the know ABS as standard..........if its still working of course  reasonable economy for engine size VR6 cons- standard suspension sits way too high....imho too front heavy makes you paranoid if the temp guage starts to rise engine parts can be a tad ott priced coil-packs prone for fcuking up big investment needed for decent performance gain group 18 ins group(19 for storm) G-60 pros- :D more power gained for relatively little expense(compared to vr6) slightly lower than vr6 suspension better balanced in standard form almost as quick as the vr6 and very little in it during day-to-day driving good B-road blaster quite rare these days better fuel economy charger not as fragile as it made out to be lower ins rating G-60 cons- but if charger goes.....if you can find a new one too.....£1k+ not as refined as the vr6 getting a bit long in the tooth too older style interior........(personal one here btw) ABS quite a rare bit of kit well thats all from the top of my head.........but it all depends on which you prefer driving in my opinion the g-60 would be marginally cheaper to run than the vr6 and just slightly cheaper to fix if it all went horribly wrong though the vr6 will always be the more in demand model.....though i reckon people in the know will go for the g-60 for the ease/cheapness of performance enhancements though whatever Corrado you own/drive etc......your driving a bit of class
