Sub Woofer Repair

Recommended Posts

Just wanting some info. My son was driving along something fell out of the storage net under his parcel shelf in his golf. Resulting in splitting his new sub woofer he's not a happy bunny.

Is there any way of doing a repair? or has anyone done an fix?

Can't imagine there is a way of doing it particularly well, but I would get some Tiger Seal or PU Flex spread over the split.

Edit.

Just googled 'fixing a torn speaker cone' and loads of results came up. General gist being glue and coffee filter paper.

There are repair kits for the flexible outer ring, but if it's the cone I think he's bang out of luck.

Cheers guys. I'll mention this to him. He's not so fed up now as his new Plasti dip spray set up, got delivered this morning.
