Stainless Steel Bolts

Recommended Posts

I am in the process of removing my charger to repair an oil leak, and I was thinking of replacing some of the bolts that I have taken off for marine grade stainless steel ones.

Would there be any problems in doing this? it will be only the bolts that hold the charger to the brackets and some of the pipe work. The original bolts are only torqued to around 18ft/lbs.

cant see an issue with stainless bolts on low load areas. Key areas include suspension bolts, perhaps engine mounts & bumper bolts, rear axle and others that require a decent amount of torque to tighten up.
