Oil temp sensor on a VR6

Where on earth will i find the oil temp sensor on my VR6? The temp has stopped being displayed on the MFA.

Well, 2 days and no-one appears to know where the oil temp sensor is!!!!!!!!

 

Either that or everyone thinks i'm a nonce for not knowing in the first place. :?

 

Or no-one likes me? :cry:

that oil sensor is at top of oil filter.there are two sensors and if i remember correctly itsd the smaller one

i thought the 2 sensors on the oil filter housing were for high and low pressures,but there is a temp sender in the side i think

look out for a green wire with a black tracer... that's normally the VW colour code for the oil temp sender wiring... ;) 8)
