dubbprince 0 Posted May 31, 2004 hey guys... My mate needs to know wheres the place to get these from for his G60 stage 4. Also...what else could he do for about £500 more to improve the power. Simple question...but is it that simple to answer? 8) Sanjay.
Furkz 0 Posted May 31, 2004 would it not depend on what hes already done to imporve power,,,,, only can think of future mods once we know what hes got already
dubbprince 0 Posted May 31, 2004 sorry mate... i believe its a cat back s/s exhaust...airfilter and stage 4 jabba tuned charger. same injectors. possibly a 38mm or 35mm pulley and chip too.
Mike Edwards 0 Posted May 31, 2004 38mm pulley = ~300 miles between rebuilds. Maybe if he tried a 68mm pulley? :D
mambomonkey 0 Posted June 1, 2004 Providing he is running a 68, change this to a 65m pulley, then get some red-top injectors so it wont lean out, and Bilal's redtop sns chip to map the whole thing. Sorted.
Dubcharged 0 Posted June 1, 2004 sorry mate... i believe its a cat back s/s exhaust...airfilter and stage 4 jabba tuned charger. same injectors. possibly a 38mm or 35mm pulley and chip too. Now thats what i call BOOST!! :D I'm sure you mean a 68mm pulley. Bets things he can do is: Port the charger properly by G-Werks/Pitstop 65mm Pulley, Red Top Injectors and our specific No Lag chip 268/276 Camshaft
dubbprince 0 Posted June 1, 2004 its just recently been ported to Stage 4 by jabba a month ago....68mm pulley he thinks and chip too. I'll recommend that lot to him...and send him your way bilal! Still wondering on paddle clutch...i.e. a sports clutch like HELIX, Black diamond perhaps?
Henny 0 Posted June 1, 2004 why do you want a paddle clutch in there?!? With the kinda spec you're talking there, you're gonna be maxing out at around 230BHP... Stick in a decent VR6 clutch (straight swap!) and you'll be laughing... easy to drive and plenty of grip with factory smoothness and actually slightly cheaper than a normal G60 clutch! :? 8)
Mike Edwards 0 Posted June 1, 2004 He needs to get a decent sized intercooler in there next rather than messing around changing one modified component for another. Jim, how much did the Rallye intercooler on yours cost?
Henny 0 Posted June 1, 2004 my Golf G60 one was £500 inc all pipe work... makes a hell of a difference... 8) There's a golf G60 one up for sale with rad and fans etc on Dubforce at the moment for £500.... not sure if it comes with pipework though... 8)
ghee60 0 Posted June 1, 2004 is a vr6 clutch a straight swap then, and is it better than a g60 clutch?
Henny 0 Posted June 1, 2004 yup and yup... 8) (and it's a few quid cheaper too! 8) )
ghee60 0 Posted June 1, 2004 any specific year vr6? corrado vr6 or golf vr6 or no difference, are the splines the same on the g60 and vr6 then?
Henny 0 Posted June 1, 2004 In order... nope, but probably a good idea to get one from the time when Corrados were being built so you know it'll fit! ;) dunno - I bought a VR6 Corrado one, but seeing as my gearbox now has a Golf VR6 input shaft, 1st and 2nd, I'd guess it's the same! ;) and yup, they are... 8)

Henny 0 Posted June 1, 2004 Eurocarparts do 'em for a good price... make sure you get a LUK one as Sachs are having a few quality control issues at the moment... ;) 8)
