Dan7690 10 Posted May 4, 2014 im in the process of fitting some 16 X 9" schmidt modernlines and dropping her on some mid range coilovers but I'm having some major trouble with the rear arches catching the rear tyres. I've had a look at the arches and they seem pretty dam thick. So what have people done to get around this problem? Am I going to have a serious task on my hands? Thanks
Liam20vT 10 Posted May 9, 2014 You will probably need to roll your arches for a start, possibly smaller tyres. What size tyres are you currently running?
emu 0 Posted May 9, 2014 You can roll or flare front arches very easily as front wings are soft. You can not roll or flare rear arches very easily as they are damn thick and hard. Usually you need split outer arch from inner one using grinder. Then hammer them out and weld together again. Of course new paint is needed after that. All depends how much your wheels sticks out.
