exhaust manifold and sports cat

Recommended Posts

Hi, just a quick one if anybody might have a minute. I have a 2.0 8v ady. It has a power flow cat back exhaust and k&n induction kit. I am considering getting an exhaust manifold and sports cat made up by power flow. When I rang them up they quoted me £450 fitted.

So basically I just want to know if I will gain power from this and if so will it be enough to justify £450?

Or are there better ways to spend my money to gain power.

Thanks all Tom ☺

Id look for a second hand four branch manifold second hand , you should be able to get one for under 100 quid and then id ditch the idea of a sports cat and just decat it , its not hard to change once a year for mot regs and itl save you a bunch of money

Your not gonna see massive power results from these mods so id say save your self the cash buying it all new , second hand and fit it your self and you will be able to put your remaining cash in to other bits for your motor

Thanks for ur reply man. That does sound like a good plan but its just sourcing a used one seems to be difficult for the ady engine. Any ideas on where to get one?

Yep, worth checking the Golf GTI Forum as the ADY is essentially the same engine as in all mk3 Golf GTI 8V's.
