I want my exhaust to pop and crackle

Recommended Posts

Is there a way of making the powerflow backbox on my 16v pop and crackle when i downchange?

I know it generally happens on turbo cars but ive seen NA cars do it also

any ideas

By a VR6 - popping and burbling comes as standard.

16Vs have a mechanical over-run shutoff valve so are less prone to it.

I suppose you could make it run mega rich at idle but it won't run very nicely.

I can't quite grasp this fascination with making cars spit flames or pop flames.

Why not just buy a rally car or a Nova with a flamer kit?

In my very humble opinion, cars that should 'pop' are very high performance cars or ones that are running like crap.

mine fits into both of those VR6, and I get so many flames outta the back of mine at the moment, it's embarrasing... :?

I soooo can't wait for this re-chip so that she stops farting flames all the time...

Drill a hole in the backbox then it will draw cold air into warm box which causes the pop.ACTUALLY,DONT

Mine just appears to do this on the overrun, not really fussed about it to be honest, its just a 1.8 16v. Its pretty gash cos my girlfriends nova does the same thing
