coolrado 0 Posted June 24, 2004 as mentioned earlier in this post i thought the shocks may have been inserts ........well i changed them this afternoon and just out of interest i removed the treaded cap from the top of the strut expecting to find a removable cartridge, and after a good tug oo er the shaft came out and covered me in bl**dy oil :mad: it seems they are fully serviceable dampers with removable seals and guides :roll: where these ever fitted by vw? i did see a description of an american guy servicing his shocks and putting a thicker oil in them to stiffen them up. the right hand shock and top cap where pretty knackered and it feels much better now :D Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
